This policy explains how Multiplex Projects and Associates Ltd. (“Multiplex”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit this website or contact us. We have offices in Lagos, Nigeria and Birmingham, United Kingdom, and we handle personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Who we are
Multiplex Projects and Associates Ltd. is responsible (the “controller”) for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us about privacy at info@multiplexprojectsltd.com, or write to us at either office:
- Atunwa Street, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria
- Kitts Green, Birmingham, B33 9RR, United Kingdom
What information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us, for example when you fill in a form on this website, email, call or message us on WhatsApp. This may include:
- your name and the name of your company or organisation;
- your email address and phone number;
- details of your enquiry, such as the service you need, the project location and your message.
Our web server also keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the website running properly.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange consultations and prepare quotations. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To deliver and manage projects and services you have agreed with us (performance of a contract).
- To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
- To keep this website secure and working properly (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who we share it with
Your information is only seen by our own team and by trusted providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and email provider. Where needed to deliver a project, we may share relevant details with subcontractors, shipping or customs agents working on your behalf. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Because we work between Nigeria and the United Kingdom, your information may be transferred between the two countries. When this happens we take steps to keep it protected to the standard required by UK and Nigerian data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you if no work goes ahead. If you become a client, we keep project and contract records for as long as needed for the project and for any period required by law (usually up to 6 years for financial records).
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or transfer it to you or someone else. You can also object to us using it for our legitimate interests. To make a request, email info@multiplexprojectsltd.com. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK (ico.org.uk) or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (ndpc.gov.ng).
